Sat on a milk case in my driveway and scrubbed my driver's side inner fender for 2-1/2 hours. My back hurts again but it feels good to have accomplished something.
Oh, the labor of love we put into these damn cars Jared lol! I keep looking at parts that need attention, just too wore out from work and family to get the gumption to attack them.Sat on a milk case in my driveway and scrubbed my driver's side inner fender for 2-1/2 hours. I don't have a pic but I have a 2" it's not bad for me but my wife she is 5 foot even she hates itSorry, quote the wrong post but same question.
Does anyone have a pic of a cowl hood from the driver's vantage point?
And, I bet "you" are stoked to get this on . . .

Mostly I was using a red scotchbright. On the bottom side I was scrubbing off red overspray, high build primer overspray, and my favorite, clear overspray over dirt. On the top, it was mostly dirt and some grease but there was a huge glob of the sealer that was used to seal the diesel-specific firewall sound deadener to the firewall. There are lots of nooks and crannies and I want all of it to be clean, so you could say I was working on it with a Q-tip.Seriously? What the hell was on there that took that long to scrub? Were you using a q-tip? 😀
Lord they are heavy! Even empty.Today I found out the driver's door is heavy and should involve two people to remove. No damage done except to raise my heart rate in to redline.
You might want to get one of these to put it back together. I haven't used it but dad did on his Galaxie and had nothing but good to say about it.Today I found out the driver's door is heavy and should involve two people to remove. No damage done except to raise my heart rate in to redline.
