What did you do to your G-Body today? [2011-2018]

I Installed the new air deflector on my wagon today. Its the only shiny part on my car lol.

I picked up parts to start a driveshaft build. 3.5 inch .083 thick.

Cursed as my drivers side windshield wiper flew off before I got to the end of my street. That counts, right? :blam:

Saw this on ebay, couldn't resist. Price was right, and I NEVER see them out "in the wild" or anywhere on the net for under 100 bucks in useable shape. My motor was a two barrel, not that it came with a carb or housing. I was gonna swap it to a four barrel the moment I learned it was a two barrel, which was basically the first time I saw it laying sideways in a dude's barn.

If at first you don't succeed......

Last night I sanded my blower motor back down. I sanded it with 220, then with a red scotch brite in the tough to reach areas and then went over the whole thing with 400. Then I used some Duplicolor pre-paint spray, wiped and then blew out the crevices with compressed air. 3 really light coats of paint and then one wet coat. I used the satin VHT Chassis and Rollbar paint. I'm pleased with the results.

Looks good.

Not sure if you know this but Rustoleum paint code 777 is extremely close to GM semi gloss black.

Sat my qjet and new air cleaner on my motor. Man I miss driving that car. Sure, it isn't no bottom end rebuild, but it's something. It's actually a kind of hard to find 1970-1971 housing off a 350 10.25:1 motor if I understand correctly, with my sticker plopped on.

Cleaned up my wiper linkage and painted it. I definitely think my fish-eye problem from a few nights ago was from the laquer thinner. Since switching to the Duplicolor prep spray, no issues.
