My buddy came by in his 68 SS 396 Chevelle that I helped him with the motor for, it looks awesome blacked out....had my beater out today, it may get a flat paint job..?

Also traded a small block Weiand Q-jet intake for this.

Took my car out Saturday. First time since November. My hard work this winter payed off. I did a 8.5 swap with 3:42 posi, UMI bars, boxed lower control arms, drop spindles, and new ball joints. Feels like a hole new car now. Sits right, goes around curves flat, and gets up and rocks now (as much as a 175 horsepower can). I need to regear my speedometer and add some more power. For now I am in love with my car again!

I love using brake cleaner as a prep cleaner - always fresh out of the can.

If yesterday counts I finished putting the Muncie in and drove it 25 miles. Pulled trim out to paint. Getting ready to drive a few more miles today then out comes the seat to fix some rust. New carpet and putting back together. Felt like a kid driving it yesterday
Happy happy

muncie in a elco? please elaborate... i have a 4 speed muncie that COULD go in one of my 87 el camino's....

1982 Elco. M-21. Got kit with pedals, bell crank, etc, pretty easy install. Next time I would remove steering column first. No boot for clutch rod going through bulk head so you have to get separate. Had a little issue with bell housing and has to go with gear reduction starter. Driveshaft, cross member all worked. Speedo hooked up. Couple different clutch arms. Depending on if the rear main seal of engine if one piece or two there is a different pilot bushing. Have to run back up light wires. Drove fifty miles today and did a lot of shifting (because I could) and so far all good. Let me know if you have any questions as I am a bit picky. Make sure you have proper bell housing as it could be fatal to trans.

took mine for a little spin today in the good weather. It really needs a good hand polish. The melting snow and rain has left little black streaks down the sides that wont come off with a wash. Wifey wants me to buy one of those portable garages to tide me over until we buy a house with a garage. Weather has been great though. First real Charcoal BBQ of the year this afternoon. 6 hour ribs, chicken, and a couple strip loins. Made a bunch so I would have leftovers... but there's not much left LOL Teenage boys will eat you out of house and home !

Not today but tomorrow I will be busy. Brake upgrade with slotted rotors and steering shaft upgrade.

Blazer brakes? If so do u have a part number for the rotors?
