Just finished putting in a Quicksliver shifter in my 87 442

Pulled the carpet. This has always been a bad day for every 20+ year old GM vehicle I've ever bought.

Seats Pulled.

And then, something I was not prepared for and also have never encountered...

I've got some kind of super rare factory option painted floor board! 😱😀 That's a frickin' relief.

Wow, so thats what the floor of our cars look like. Guess its another factory mistake, they forgot the rust coat. 😛

It's amazing how small your wagon looks next to the herd.

Pulled the sworn-to-be-the-original rear out of the Monte SS, yep it's a 2.73. What a waste of time.

So....still looking for a 3.42 G body rear

What did I do with my g body today... went on a family ride!!!

You make your kids take their shoes off in the car too?! I just thought I was that OCD?!

That or use it as a teaching moment on how to detail the car. 😉

Bought a replacement Baldor L1430T compressor motor - my IR T30's original gave up the ghost a few weeks ago and living without it was KILLING ME (especially all of the work I just did to the Monte was done with a cordless impact gun and tears). Even splurged on the Square D motor starter I think I was supposed to have bought 7 years ago when I got the unit (really didn't listen to the guy who sold it to me).
