Haven't done anything aside from bide my time gathering the funds to fix my Regal. However, in two weeks I'm gonna go pick up a 1970 SP code 350 Buick. Factory 4 barrel, 10.25:1, rated at 315hp and 410ftlbs. Pulled 30 years ago out of a skylark for a 455 to go in. Hopefully it's a Felpro n duplicolor rebuild away from running. Pics look pretty damn good. I'm excited. This nice weather has me itching to do some... driving again.

tried to source the problem with my car alarm, it's an old Ungo s100 and I do not want to change it and they don't make them anymore. The wire that goes to ground on the brain that I use to trigger the module to put the windows up isn't going to ground...

Common problem with the brain boxes after time.

A lot of complaints on the interweb:confused: about them.

Hopefully it's not the box and you figure it out.

That brain has worked better than mine for years, wait, that isn't really saying much. That Ungo has worked with no problems for years, I hope it's something simple I have done......and I think I must have somehow put it in the valet mode....:blam:

Received a response from Moroso today............

Looks like you tightened them to tight................:wtf: Hand tight is to tight?!?!?

Here is the email

Sorry to hear that you had a problem with our sight plugs, I looked at the photo's, If you want to send them in we can evaluate them, but from the photo it looks like the plugs may have been tightened a little too much, causing the heads to pop when the o ring expanded.

I purchased a set of Moroso sight plugs part number 65226 for my Holley 950 HP.

I use only pump 93 octane gas.

I hand tightened them into the sight plug holes

Within ten minutes of warming up the engine both plugs broke on there own.

They were laying on my heat shield.

Well today was a crappy day for the Malibu......

First Moroso's nonsense response.

Then my fuel regulator kit shows up and the carb inlet fittings don't fit because the collar is to thick and hits the bowls.

So I run up to my local speed shop, SK Speed (bunch of turkeys)

Do you have carb inlet fitting with a narrow collar? .....duh whats dat????? uuuuh nope.

Do you have a -8 female to -6 hose end?.......... Um did yoo say female.....uh no we don't have them.

Do you have a 90* -6 to 3/8 pipe? ............Wuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut?

At this point I better leave before

i-will-punch-you-in-da-face.jpg

If I needed a chrome exhaust tip I would be set since they have about 600 of them.

So off to the phone to call Summit..........no issues and they said it will be here tomorrow..................

And I am going to link those Summit reviews in my response back to Moroso.
