Be sure to include that meme in your response. It made my day.Well today was a crappy day for the Malibu......
First Moroso's nonsense response.
Then my fuel regulator kit shows up and the carb inlet fittings don't fit because the collar is to thick and hits the bowls.
So I run up to my local speed shop, SK Speed (bunch of turkeys)
Do you have carb inlet fitting with a narrow collar? .....duh whats dat????? uuuuh nope.
Do you have a -8 female to -6 hose end?.......... Um did yoo say female.....uh no we don't have them.
Do you have a 90* -6 to 3/8 pipe? ............Wuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut?
At this point I better leave before
If I needed a chrome exhaust tip I would be set since they have about 600 of them.
So off to the phone to call Summit..........no issues and they said it will be here tomorrow..................
And I am going to link those Summit reviews in my response back to Moroso.
Wow Turna, SK Speed. Haven't heard that name in awhile. They built the engine in my former L79 Chevy II back in the early 70's, 11.75:1, polished and balanced rods & crank, windage tray, it was like a late 60's speed catalouge. (Had it apart to change bearings, the smart guys I worked with made me replace bearings and valvesprings before I killed it). Sorry about your Moroso experience, if the dipshits actually looked at the photo they would see the lack of tightening device marks on the heads.
I decided to do my electric cooling fan convertion. Bought a 90 f body radiator and mounted the 96 Comaro fans tonight. I am trying to have it back together by Thursday night. There is a cruise night Friday I want to a tend. I will have to leave the hood down though. It looks pretty dumb with out the huge fan sroud and fan, but not for long! This winter there will be a inercooler and big turbo going in this space.Put my new factory tach and gauges in. I brought the factory add on gauge kit. I do not recommend the add on gauge kit they are very poor quality and take a lot of trimming to fit. I would buy factory gauges and wire them my self. I may still do that.View attachment 67063 I was wiring in my senders, and found my radiator neck leaking. Radiator just opened up a hole can of worms. I have a v6 radiator in the car. I want to switch to electronic fans later this year. The v6 radiator is not as wide as a v8 radiator and my cuty top plate will not fit. I have a nother v6 radiator in my parts car, but don't know if is any good. Going to pull that today and see. The problem is I have a cruise on Friday and really don't want to do the radiator twice.
If he is going cheap with his tools, what else does he go cheap on...Yes that was when the shop was great Bill and Merkel were the machinists.
When I seen the so called "machinist" there now buying a torque wrench at the local Harbor Freight it was another punch is da face moment.

That's the plan. 87 Grand National headers and intercooler, 3 inch th down pipe, Te60 turbo, and four barrel intake. Going blow through with efi. I have every thing but the efi. Can't wait to get rid of all the crap on top.Dumb? Nah. It looks awesome! About the only advantage that little 3.8L has is how far back it is set in the engine, the #1 and #2 plugs are basically inline with the CL of the spindle which makes for a very good handling package (with supporting mods). I'd say it is time to get a better air intake on there and free up some ponies (so much room down there).
