Every car I have ever owned has been driven and parked in public places. I am not going to live my life based upon the potential actions of others. I can always catch a cab home, and start building another car.
Lol we were just talking about how it is up here I'm shore you live in a better place than the north east we can only take our cars were we can watch them and I would hate to see anything happen to your wagon that things sweet

Toronto, Windsor, Detroit, St. Louis, Indy, and a bunch of other places. Never had an issue.

Most people here in Ottawa only see old cars at carshows... even the criminals can't use them because the market/community is so small.

with my cutlass I would drive and park it everywhere. Never was pinched ( I had a simple toggle switch on the dist ) but I sure got tired of broken windows ( why always the opera window ? ), broken steering columns, and crowbar as a stereo removal tool. Now that I have my Monte I drive it everywhere, in the rain, if I need to then I drive it in the snow. Its got bumps bruises and more than a few stone chips but no feelings. If it disappears its just a car. Personally I cant leave mine at the movie theater as it would void my insurance policy but otherwise I would. I picked up 4 bundles of shingles the other night with it though if that counts for anything.

Oh, I took my old heap to the car show tonight. My son ( 16 ) seems to be gaining a little more interest and seems to want to go to shows now. There was another Monte SS there tonight, it was an 85 real clean with fresh paint and it ended up I spoke with the owner as I poured over his car. It had the whole catalogue thrown at it. Chrome Spectre Air Cleaner with the dual ducting, GMPP Chrome Motor Kit, Wilwood Brakes all round, 2000+ Monte SS Seats, T5 trans, unknown tubular control arms but he said it has Coilovers so I guess that's good ?? He said its the orig 305 but its got a cam and it pulls real HARD ?? Said he just bought it this spring. I don't know what he paid but there were wires tucked, no washer jug, no wiring to the wiper motor, AC lines capped, and a Holley EFI setup. He said mine sounded good when I pulled in. I told him I have an RV cam and left it at that. The boy thought that was funny

Hey, man, great work. When that first coat of gloss POR 15 goes on, the enthusiasm is going to come roaring back. (make sure it's all dry) Looks like you did a great job getting all the shmutz off the frame. It'll look a lot like powder coat when you're done (don't forget the top coat).

Best - Gary
