View attachment 69828 Very disappointing I had big plans and a 4 day weekend🙁. Did a little 4 speed trans tinkering on the bench. Took apart the 1967 sloppy shifter and cleaned it up so I could actually put it on the trans and try out the shifting, seem sketchy. Wanted to get my short block apart so I could get cleaning that up but only managed to get #1 rod and piston out and that's it.
Moved the car the 100ft to this spot Saturday and back into the garage a bit ago. Maybe next weekend will be better! 😉
That is a pretty clean Monte you have there. Reminds me of my first one. Base model 79 with no passenger mirror. I still have that car too.

Been driving by a similar, although stock, Monte in the same color for a while. If I end up buying it, I need your number so my wife can yell at you.

Thanks! The things I want to get done just don't happen as fast as I'd like which is the same for all of us. Would like to drive it more but it's kind of embarrassing cuz the 6 banger smokes so bad, but I shouldn't care what others think. Lol

You haven't really lived until you've driven a smoker with sidepipes! Yeah, I'm that old.😵

Did the annual 4th of July burnout, but no one saw it this year. Which is a shame because I really channeled my inner-hillbilly on this one.
