What did you do to your G-Body today? [2011-2018]

Yea gimmie the keys!!

SMC adhesive and filler is what should be used to repair it if it is the OE panel. Fiberglass could work, but does not generally hold up long term on SMC panels. U-pol Fiberal also works well as a filler and has the added benefit of fibers in the product to add a little strength
Yea but it sands like a brick lol

I was up until 3AM reading your build thread over at the LS1 forum. Ripping yarn - mega kudos for all the hard work, creativity and attention to detail!

Is there any chance your problem with running lean at the top end was from the fuel pump starving due to slosh? Did you see the WBO2 reflect the lean condition or were you kinda busy when it happened? ;-)

Best of luck figuring it out - I'm sure you will - Gary

Gary, thanks! Best I could tell no one really cared about "another G-body build" over there. I like the guys here better anyway. 😉

Tank was full. Filled up 10 miles from the track and this thing gets unbelievably good gas mileage.
Both the WB and NBO2s went stupid lean... I am lucky if I didn't hurt the engine.

Made it back from camping and it was a costly adventure, besides the beer my Alpine 9835 decided to have an issue right after I had too many beer to take a quick trip to pick up my spare. I put in a cd and the face plate went dead, the radio would not respond to any buttons or the volume knob. Lucky for me the remote still worked so with my infrared extender that saved the night. I was hoping the problem was with the face plate but no such luck. My spare works great but the display is very dim which makes it very difficult to set up the crossovers and you can't see who's the artist or the song title unless it's at night So it I'll be at my friends shop tomorrow to see what's my next head unit....it has to work with this infrared extender and at least the same range....

I got my redneck paint booth built and laid a seal coat down to start the filler work.

Yeah, they're getting filled. They were the holes from the 3 piece body side molding. That, the front fender, and the rear rot are what spurred this whole SNAFU. The aluminum rivets from the factory started rust spots on the doors; it was pretty ugly. I figured they'd hold more filler if I dinged them with a ball peen.
You have no idea how scared of body and paint work I was when I started. Now, I'm starting to think to myself "damn! that looks good. I got this!"
Never again, though. MAACO is alot cheaper. Thanks again for the kind words!!
