View attachment 75881 View attachment 75882 its all in the wet sand "process" especially with these nasty castings the ls have...looking badass though and I salute your dedication to the sport😉
Thanks for the compliments Jose'!!!! I just got back from getting some more material to work these covers over. I will be happy to get them as smooth as the ones you posted.
Btw, nice detail work on them old school covers, they look sweet!!!!

the weather was fantastic today so I washed the GP, took off the t-tops and went for a cruise to watch another of my grandson's hockey game. He got 4 goals this time and 3 assists so he had a 12 point weekend. He got cut from the rep team cause they said he wasn't tall enough....

Tuned the card-style MAF in the wagon. This was a much faster process than tuning the VE table in Speed Density. Got the short term fuel trims (STFT) into the 0 to -5% range (meaning it is a touch rich). Next I am going to enable the long term fuel trims (LTFT) to see how well it can refine itself. Why is this interesting to me? Because most "professional tuners" will run a cammed LS-whatever in some form of Open Loop; and with that use either the VE table in a Speed Density mode, or go MAF-only. I am working on having a viable blended/hybrid tune that uses both the MAF and VE table in Closed Loop as GM intended. This takes a lot more time to refine - like hours or days or weeks - which is why "professional tuners" just do one or the other, and not both.
