Finished up the rear seat crossmember! Couple of small patches to fab on the drivers side, and the dreaded undercoating scraping shall commence...

Put the wrong oil filter on my car and proceeded to empty 5 fresh quarts of oil onto my garage floor when I started the car. Box said fram ph25, but filter was actually a ph30. Never looked at the filter when I put it on. Went to the store to get oil dry and more oil. Threw the oil dry down and quit for the day.

I successfully aligned the Pig all by myself. 4 hours saved at a shop that probably wouldn't do it the way I wanted, anyway. Pretty damned proud of myself, considering that I only had half a clue going in! The box adjustment is still a little tight, but otherwise, I'm happier than a Pig in sh*t!!.

Drove the wagon. Felt good to have accomplished something... and to have annoyed the neighbourhood.

After driving the El Camino around in 90+ degree weather loaded with 20 bags of mulch, I found that my ghetto fuel return system is indeed prone to vapor locking. I could not get the engine over 1000 rpm for the first mile after a hot restart. After getting it back home, I was going to repurpose the EVAP line as a fuel return line and applied a little air pressure to the line to see if everything is okay and if the gas cap was vented. I promptly found that the hardline had holes rusted into it. It is in a pretty much impossible to reach place, so I will be cutting that section out and replacing it with rubber back to the tank.

Replaced the starter in my 80 calais which i havent drove since last summer then tried to go for a drive but when i put in gear it started to run like garbage . plugged a vacuum line going from carb to aor cleaner temp sensor and seemed to fox the problem but by then the insurance place was closed so i didnt even get to go for a drive....
