Working on the original gauges in my 86 442. Before I pulled the cluster the gauges wasn’t working properly and there was a delay when using the turning signals/hazards. After taking the cluster off the signals work. Any suggestions?

Also help with throttle cable for the speedometer!! I attached pics and labeled them for better reference. I believe (A) is the throttle cable and I’m not sure what the (B) wire is or if the two connect. Any help would be appreciated.

A is a coax cable for a CB radio. B is an antenna connection. They have nothing to do with your speedometer or turn signals....

8 am -start it up , a rip down the neighbourhood streets to the gas station, fill it up with what pass's as the good stuff in todays world.
and on the main roads , before the locals start driving....was tempted to stop by Ed's and and do a few doughnuts on his front lawn.
But I am mature now................yeah right.
back home by 10 am...............a little clean this & that

and damn now it's 89 degrees F feeling like 96 degrees F.................damn where is the beer fridge ? there it is.........later

(yesterday)
Now that the Chief is up and running, and capable of enjoying from time to time, I decided to make the official call that any major projects on it can hold off for the time being, and dragged the Regal into the shop to become the next project...

Stay tuned...

While I had the carpet out, the seam sealer was so crumbly I decided to scrape all of it off and re do it, in a neater manner. The pics are in progress, so it got another go around and some areas not sealed got sealed. The passenger side from front to back is done, I need to do the driver's side (next weekend), as well as behind the back seat. Then to prep and POR15 the floor. I already had a can laying around, found another at the parts store, I think that'll be enough for my floor. May do the trunk at a later point in time, engine compartment when the '70 SBB comes out and the '76 goes back in, hopped up of course.

Oh, also ordered a new converter. 2500 BB rated stall, think it will stall around 1900-2100, hopefully on the higher side. For an engine that makes peak power under 5k, this will be just enough to not be annoying and let me leave above fast idle speed. Along with the 3:42s I got goin in, this thing will be a monster (for what it is) out of the hole.

Having the Cutlass in my possession for the first time in 5+ years has provided a much needed boost in enthusiasm! Today I had a few minutes to install the turn signal housings, and one headlight. Need to move my overflow can to install the other.View attachment 93529
