What did you do to your G-Body today? [2011-2018]

Spend the day rewelding the frame. Factory missed a ton

That is some nice welding and it is surprising how much they missed and how poorly some areas are that they didn't miss. Looks like you mig welded it. I couldn't get the mig to lay a nice weld, something in the metal that we could not clean, I had to use a stick on it.

It's weird some of the frame welded nice and other parts like u said doesnt take well to the mig. Overall I got it as good as possible, way better then factory. All I got left is some re enforcing. Here some more pics

I always use .035" flux core when welding these frames - and crank up the amps.

 
Finally starting reassembly after paint job. Took it down to bare metal.

I got the windshield in today, that deal I had fell through and I got a guy who does the winsheilds for a client of mine to install it. I figure it cost me about $70 more than if I did it myself so it was a no brainer (no brainer is something I have practiced for years so I am real good with it) The window sits flush with the body so I'm happy with it, just needs a little filler around the windshield so the wind at 200 mph won't slow me down...😎
