Drove around today running errands. Also bought some stuff for future use yesterday. New copper oil line and fittings, timing cover gasket set. I bought it just for the rope seal, but extra gaskets don't hurt. Radiator hose purchased yesterday is holding up fine. I need a little clamp to hold it. It being for a points car, there's still about an inch of breathing room around the HEI, so that's nice. Bought two new ratchets to replace my broken 3/8 and the 1/4 my brother stole/lost.
Also, ran over this f*ckin thing. Put a plug in the tire. In spring I'll get 2 new and put em on the front, current fronts will go on the back. This would probably go better in the "What did you buy for your g body today" thread, but I'm lazy and already had this page open.

I have done a few burnouts/donuts with these tires, they aren't "mint" anymore. But I've always kept them at 35psi. My rear body bushings and shocks are *ss, maybe that has something to do with it? I go over a bump and it sounds like the whole car fell apart. Go over it in a new car and it's fine. They're cheap *ss gabriel shocks. 35psi is what I run them at.the tire is wearing in the middle which indicates the pressure is too high
They truly are. Lightweight, deep skirt, high nickle, super strong and durable blocks. Literally their only downsides are the marginal oiling system in stock form, but just a new timing cover with oil pump which can be bought at most parts stores (although TA has the "best" ones, already assembled, double drilled for 350 and 231 pans), and proper bearing clearances they'll last forever. And with heads coming out very soon, if anyone has a 231, there's almost no reason not to swap a SBB in.Mr.Sony I salute you! When I had Buicks I could not believe how hard it was to get everyday stuff let alone parts for a custom installation. Worse than Pontiac. I finally gave up and stayed with Pontiac stuff but I have to say- those Buick 350's are one of the best ever street motors.
