Wildmani...if it turns out the bearing put a groove in the axle which will cause the seal to leak I have a few axles that are in good shape

I'll get back to you on that one. I won't be getting to that for quite a while. I'm not 100% sure if it's residual brake fluid from a wheel cylinder change or not. It appears to be coming from the axle but it's hard to say. I wiped it all up and I'll have a look again on the weekend to see if it's back.

Pulled the Cutlass out and went for a ride today since it was 50 in SE Wisconsin.
Before putting it away put a patch of rubber on the driveway...... Well the whole length of the driveway.
Girlfriend said show me what ya got so I did.............. :twisted:/  ......chased her right into the garage!

Picked up a 8.5 GN rear Sunday with the works. 4.30's, spool, c-clip elim, new brakes, welded axle tubes, double adj upper and lowers. To top it off just ordered my AC delete from TNT. Christmas for me!! Going to be putting on my manual brake swap and manual steering swap when finals get out. Then it's off to the transmission shop with the trans. Going to have them rebuild with a shift kit and t-brake.

Replaced the thermostat.

And finished the console installation

Today I put one of two roof rail strips on. These are new opgi parts and I am impressed with the quality. Only issue; the six hours to readjust the door for the new seal. lol
