so Khan with your set up you were in the area of 165 mph.....that will give you stunting, up to $10,000 fine, immediate 7 day licence suspension, car impounded for 7 days and possibly another suspension when convicted. They could always go with dangerous driving which is criminal. Then depending on what you have done to the car if they deem it's been modified to race they could seize the car and not give it back without a good fight Oh and I forgot something, your insurance if you can get it will be a couple of grand a year at least.

There is one good side tho, but not for you... you'd be paying me or someone like me $1,000 at least to deal with those tickets.

It's tempting to run these cars fast when set up for it but please man go rent a circle track if you want to wind it out, it's alot cheaper

Ok guys...so today went to autozone and picked up a FLEX lower radiator hose...and I can't tell u this, they are made to last a long time...the guy there told me about them and recommended it..

Has very thick rubber, super heavy duty spring and looks like it was made to go a long time!!!

My lower radiator hose problem is fixed....I let it sit for about 15mins on, fans turned on and all looked good..no leaks and looks like I'm going to be running smooth and cool....

Ordered and I need to go pick up that new steal housing for the speed cable and get that done on weekend...oh I also need that rear tires...wires coming all out..!not safe...keep y'all updated

I won't argue with you there...
I'd be lying if I said I don't speed, occasionally I do wonder over the speed limits... But this was honestly only my third time over 80mph on a road.

I made sure I was very far out of city limits, I also made 2 trips up and down the road before attempting this to make sure there were no people out.

and after attempting it, it was very clearly a bad idea. The car became quite unstable past the 3500rpm mark (I'm guess around 120mph), lots of bump steer.

the nose didn't lift like I expected, but the car hit an aerodynamic wall after 4500rpm (I'm guessing 140mph)... and the last 500rpm I climbed was slow.

an online calculator said 159mph (5000rpm, 3.42 rear gear, 0.7 OD ratio, 245/50R16 tire)


..... never again

it's not worth the risk

I just want him to be able to keep on having fun...Khan lives in the same province I do and the cops love to nail guys doing 50 kilometers or over the speed limit. I always have my GPS with me and I never do more than 49 over on the highway...

Today I finished removing the trim and drove it to my uncles so he can soda blast it tomarow. I cant wait to see the results but im almost scared as to what il find. Everything but the doors and front bumper cover will be blasted.

Still removing the trim and chrome for the winter polish.
Started to remove the interior plastic for cleaning & repainting this winter.
Picked up a new mechanical fuel pump. Install in the AM.

Just can't put the Cutlass away yet.

Got bored took out the a/c compressor and lines, made my own alternator bracket, and did some tidying up in the engine bay.
