Finally got the thing running yesterday after re-finding TDC with nobody to help me bump it over. Once I stabbed the distributor back it it fired right up.

Adjusted the rocker arms, installed the valve covers and topped off the antifreeze.

Still with no helpers at home to help bleed the brakes one last time, I proceeded to give it a once over inside, cleaning it back up and then giving the outside a coat of wax. Polished the billet wheels too.

Working on the original gauges in my 86 442. Before I pulled the cluster the gauges wasn’t working properly and there was a delay when using the turning signals/hazards. After taking the cluster off the signals work. Any suggestions?

Also help with throttle cable for the speedometer!! I attached pics and labeled them for better reference. I believe (A) is the throttle cable and I’m not sure what the (B) wire is or if the two connect. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks to a very insistent little girl I was dragged out of the house for an A&W rootbeer and a car show in town - we took the wagon. Good times. On the way home I noticed in the reflection of the car in front of us that one of my driving lights was out. Got home and started investigating - based on my findings it was a loose ground or bad ground contact at the socket. Yup, the issue was at the socket side of the driving marker light. A quick and easy fix with some electrical tape.

And to think all it took was a little wiggling!

a ford style solenoid is useful to bump the engine over and I find is more accurate than when someone if bumping the engine over for you
