Started down the rabbit hole.

That pore car! I hope you have had some fun with it and learned from it? That is what it is all about.Last week got my new Hankook Optimo 205/75/14s mounted at a Firestone Center. My rear tires mysteriously lost all their tread and one had a bolt in it (thanks tweaker "construction" workers) I wanted a right size spare, so I decided to get 2 so I can swap my good fronts to the back and get two new coopers when I can afford them. I love how they ignored my request to mount them white wall out if they were white wall (didn't have a pic on the site on their computer), didn't get my employee discount because I didn't bring my vehicle in to have them done. Understandable, people were abusing the sh*t out of the program before they changed it, but still bullshit, and didn't bother removing the old wheel weights, just put more on. SO. I put the 205s on the front with my hubcaps for giggles and my good fronts on the back.
Looks stupid, but would look the tiniest bit better with the white wall out.

Also did a compression test. Only got to the driver's side before it got dark and I was being molested by mosquitoes.
#1. 145psi
#3. 150psi
#5. 175psi (ok...)
#7. 150psi
I mean... it's not terrible. it's inline with what it was when I first rebuilt the engine almost 2 years/12,000 miles ago, even after the headgasket fiasco. But what's weird is formerly #1 was 170psi and #5 was inline with the other 2 cylinders in that bank. Odd. I had bought some spark plugs back when I thought my headgasket issue was a bad plug (trying everything I could to avoid pulling the engine, nope) but never installed em. Installed em. Old ones are a nice light tan, no buildup whatsoever, no smell, no wetness or soot, nothing. Kind of surprising.
And yes, that is a nasty dent. I guess I don't know my own strength, last year I essentially pimp slapped the car for some dumb reason and made a DEEP dent in that area. I popped most of it out, it's not as bad as it looks in person. It's weird how weak some of the metal on this car is though. Just leaning over a fender I put a dent in it and now it's kind of oil canned. :/ All the years of sitting, then being flogged, then sitting again, have not been kind to this still relatively ok shape car.
Oh I have fun with it everyday. I love the car. I enjoy driving to work. I just thoroughly enjoy driving it, floppy back window, floppy drivers door pull that is loud as sh*t, rotted out rear body mounts, etc. It's my car, with an engine i rebuilt, trans i pepped up, badass rear end and wheels I installed. I made it my own, so I like it. 😀That pore car! I hope you have had some fun with it and learned from it? That is what it is all about.
