Got the el camino in 1993 & just now changing the front brake pads that it came with. I brake with stick shift ALOT. Was trying to baby them even more lately & hold off till I had time to swap in LS1 setup, but 20 dollar pads & the time it took to listen to the best of Dokken cd got them swapped out for now. Old pads didn't have screech indicators or any anti-squeal compound. Must have been non metallic to have kept the rotors in nice enough shape to just da sand in place.
Thankfully some things are super easy even if you don't do them often. Can be hard on them now. 😈 Guess 80 to 100k miles isn't too bad even being easy on brakes.
Went to a church show sat only 4 miles from home that had over 300 entries & a burnout contest. Also the only no entry fee judging show around here know of. Where else does a major church have burnout contests? Praise the lord.
Really need some primer on my raw metal, why the F does everyone at shows have to feel the raw metal with their oily hands? At least I had some fun having a few people actually get scared when my remote operated electric hood moves.😛
