What did you do to your G-Body today? [2019]

I polish it by rubbing my horn on it
I've heard that about you.

Injected, get her a piece of coat hanger to scratch the itch. My only cast was in 4th grade and I remember the itch and smell like yesterday (36 years later).

finished with upgrading the grounds and the positive wire to the box....turned the key and the MSD box flashed twice which means low battery, checked the Fast handheld and the battery was sitting at 11.4 so the battery is on charge. I must have drained it with playing with the car..... 🙂

I stuck this post in the wrong thread, thanks to Jared for waking me up again....:friday:

I had a cast for a short time when I was younger. When the cast came off and the nurse saw that I had been itching under the cast with pens and pencils she shook her head. Turns out you're not supposed to itch under a cast because it puts you at high risk of a nasty infection that won't be discovered until after the cast comes off. Good to know after the cast came off! 🙄

Bunch of little stuff on the car that has pretty much amounted to nothing, have white noise coming through the stereo and finally got the replacement speakers so gonna fiddle with that hopefully tonight. I did figure out how I am going to make my shift boot work but want to wait until it is all in and set before doing that. The back up camera is still playing games with me, waiting to hear back on that since when I test it off the battery it does not switch over like it should. My buddy did end up having the back drive linkage but says it was probably pulled since with headers it usually interferes. He also gave me a switch to wire up on the shifter itself but wasn't sure if there is enough room to get it to work with the stock shifter.

Got angry at it. With the snowpocalypse coming to a close I was excited to get the car out this weekend. Well it had other plans. Fired up the car and it had a really sluggish idle (520 RPM) i revved it up a bit and it came down to 400RPM and just died. Just cranks and cranks. No spark hopefully its just a coil as I have a few spares, if its the module I am SOL for spares on hand and I am not even sure of a parts store that tests HEI module anymore.

For now Beer.

Still trying to iron out the bugs, speakers in the rear now gives even more white noise. Joy..... Did get the backup camera pretty much figured out and the battery tender that runs directly to battery plumbed since the battery is in the back. I am hoping there is enough wire for the camera to get wired up, did notice while playing with the wiring it is an OCD persons nightmare

Finally a day without rain long enough to do something. Sold that ****in truck, used $100 to buy a new heavy duty fan clutch to put on the 7 blade fan i stole from the suburban, as well as an intake seal kit and a thermostat gasket. I also found some leftover cans of seam sealer from when I did my floor last year and sealed up my windshield. It turned out about as well as it could have at dusk under a shedding tree while it was 50f and windy. Gonna go back in a day or so with a razor blade and do some cleanup. None of that rubber/plastic gasket thing was left, and I had a leak in the top corner of the driver's side. Hopefully this solves it. If not, I suspect the drip rail area. Also vacuumed it out. I tend to store car parts and tools in my car, so I organized those. 😛

As of the 21st of last month, that was a year since my dyno session. I want to take it back once I get the timing and afr dialed and see how much hp I lost. Maybe even a gain lol. It only had 30* and a really lazy curve last time. Rich af 10.8:1 afr at wot as well. If my engine isn't wallered out too much (still has same cranking compression as last time), I'd hope to see 225hp to the wheels. 14hp gain from last time. We'll see~

Lastly, found out why that mf handle was so floppy. The plastic doo dad broke. Any of you fine gents with those parts books have the # for the pull handle bushings for an 85 regal limited, or any other g body that used that style of handle?

Cleaned the block installed the cam bearings then painted it
I wouldn’t have been doing any of this
But some valve springs broke sending a push rod into the crank case
Well good thing the block lived
