Forgot to post this last night.
Gave the block and pistons a quick clean up. Tomorrow I’ll be picking up a puller for the balancer and I can finally start to do the cam swap and begin to assemble this thing.

So was I! thats why I was fine with waiting for it for so long. It was back-ordered for about 6 weeks

The wife took the die grinder to the header panel and got the headlight adjusters cut in as well as the retention springs. She killed it. For some reason she loves tedious crap like that. Lucky me, and she's damn good at it. I topped off the trans up with ATF, replaced a burnt plug wire and fixed some wiring on the core support that was beyond sketchy.

I soooooo need one of those!!!!

Pulled my 1979 Hurst/Olds out of the garage for the first time since April and finally put the correct carb (#17059253) on. Had it rebuilt back in April but never got around to doing it. I should have done it months ago and it's an easy job except for the vacuum lines. I hate them. The 1969 vintage Olds 350 runs good and strong but it's running very rich. Will have to make some adjustments to get it right.

All my "seat" time this year has been spent in my 1978 Delta 88 Holiday coupe.
The old carb can be seen on the table at the bottom of picture 4.
