A couple days ago I tried to assemble the new to me heads. They seem to have bigger than stock guides so the spring locators don’t fit. I talked to local shop P.R.D. (Precision Racing Development)
They are going to mill the locators and assemble the heads for me. After I disassembled the front cover I found the the chain had a ton a slack. I’ll be ordering an LS2 chain. I am also looking into options to get rid of the stock valley cover with knock sensors.

Cleaned the block installed the cam bearings then painted it
I wouldn’t have been doing any of this
But some valve springs broke sending a push rod into the crank case
Well good thing the block lived
Did you blow it up at the track, or just building a new bullet?

Where from?

Started life as an AR Bodies street stock spoiler for a Monte Carlo SS. Turned it around backward to mount to top of trunk with flush mount body washers. All circle track stuff...………………………..oh, and it was 6" tall and square to begin with. I cut it down to 4" on the ends, 2" in the center, and rounded it off for the 'wicker bill' look. Now whether to leave it natural or paint it matte black...……..

I have splitter support rods to install on the rear to get the look that I am after.
