What did you do to your G-Body today? [2019]

Bought some harbor freight gauges (oil psi and coolant temp) that I’m going to hide away in the glove box. Now I just need to figure where to route it through the firewall. I’m going to see if the ECU grommet has anymore room I can squeeze a few more wires, copper line and coolant gauge hose through...

If you hide them whats the point of them?

You wont see if something is wrong

Yup, so PO’d at Gbodyparts I am leery to recommend anything from them but these do fit the bill. Had problems with all 3 orders. You can’t call them and, after ignoring your emails for a month, you get an ALL CAPS email for being such a PITA customer. Nerve of some people expecting their orders to be right?

I truly wonder what actually happened with GBP. They used to be pretty decent, sponsored the site, came up with new products, were no more difficult to deal with than anyone else, but they went to sh*t overnight and never came back.

didn't the owner get locked up a few years ago?car craft did a few pages on them a few months ago saying they have the best g-body junkyard/goldmine around or something along those lines.

There service is too hit or miss for me! Donovan ordered stuff from them and got it no problem, other guys as well, and then you hear horror stories over and over of awful communication and such. I'll steer clear unless I'm up against a wall and have to use them.

Brian Weaver, he was a regular here for a long time. I think he did get into some legal trouble, but I don't know the details or how it ever worked out. Toby Pawlaczyk was a regular here too, and I think he worked for GBodyParts. We never hear from either of them anymore. I think Toby had said he was leaving GBF because of some member or members giving him a hard time over something. Again I don't really know/care about the drama or details of it other than we never hear from either of them and GBodyParts isn't what it used to be.

EDIT: BTW, there is ZERO room where the ECU wire bundle goes through.

Was killing a little time and thought I'd better check out the you-pull yards online.

Found this at LKQ

Thought I'd better go check it out. Somebody had removed the front door latches and outside handles, threw the trim panels on the ground, removed the hood and threw it on the ground under the car next to it for a creeper (broke one of the w/s washer nozzles i needed in the process). Broke out the liftgate glass to open the tire well. Broke the dash bezel for no apparent reason. This is one of the reasons I hate unsupervised yards.

I did manage to make a couple good scores....nice liftgate handle, rear seat handle, one washer nozzle, a really decent for Oklahoma gate trim panel, and a pair of those elusive wing screw covers. Thought about grabbing the qtr trim panels and load floor flapper, but you can't save everything for "I might use them".

My biggest gripe is people sell these things to salvages for a hundred bucks or so.....why not try selling online first so somebody could get some use out of them. I'd have bought it, because the interior was really pretty decent, and the sheetmetal was nice too.
