What did you do to your G-Body today? [2019]

finished wiring and installed the MAP sensor thanks to the help of a few guys on here......finally got it ready for a test drive, the new transmission works great, the Mcleod thro out bearing feels real good and the car is quicker than it has ever been. I set up my quadrajet for fuel mileage in the city and highway speeds so I'll have to see how this Fast system works with mpg and if it has guts on the highway....the manual brakes don't quite feel right so think I still have some air in the brake system or I'll have to bench bleed the master again....🙂

Put a 7 blade fan and new clutch on. it's better, but it still gets upto about 210 sitting. Take off, and within the span of an intersection it's back down to 195*. I think I need a smaller water pump pulley. Also fixed some wires that got some moisture in the connectors apparently and corroded enough to have enough resistance to melt the wire loom. :/

Quite a while ago. I think it's the place I have the sender. It's right near the thermostat, so I think its when i stop the coolant flow slows down enough to warm up a little and as soon as i give it rpm (such as leaving from a stoplight), within about 5 seconds it goes back down. did this on my other gauge too. Temp gun confirms 195-205 temps on all hoses at idle. Edit: There is no place other than the intake for the temp fitting. There's an angled port for the heater hose fitting, and one on either side of the thermostat housing.

Installed all the plastics in the rear seat area on the right side. Might turn out OK after all....for a red interior. Still undecided on the repro package tray, the binding is SO far off from everything else.

rust free air box top lid---95.39 shipped.pm me if interested.
Finished up stripping. modifying, priming and painting the core support from the donor El Camino. Next is the lower airbox. The upper is complete rusted crap. The most reasonably priced replacement I have come across is from Mike's Montes at $129. Seems this part is not well survived used. View attachment 102616View attachment 102619View attachment 102620

Got the backup camera mounted in the back, also got the correct wire for the third brake light by going up to the brake switch in the front. Last wiring to complete is the backup switch going on the shifter. Hopefully get that wrapped up Thursday, but have a feeling when I get the noise filter I will have to hook that up today

Those noise filters are hit and miss. I'd try a different, newer battery first. If that doesn't fix it, start reevaluating your grounding.
Appreciate it, I am kinda thinking it is coming from the head unit itself. So we will see my hope was that it would cancel out any type of noise but I am sure it won't be that easy

you need to do something about your license plate light too, it looks like a florescent mustache... 😊
