Also, I hope the drag racing weekend is fun.

She's dropping down to freezing tonight, so I left the wagon outside while we went out to dinner and a kids' Halloween event - got down to 42*F by the time we got home in the Hellkitty. Aired the fronts up to 45psi (might go to 51psi at the strip) and the rears to 35 psi (soon to be half that or less at the track). Plasti-dipped the lower quarter panels while I was out there. Time to kill the Toyos.

Started the day with a nice photo op on the way to cars and coffee, then off to the shop for day 2 of harvesting organs from the donor blazer. Got the engine jabbed in the Gypsy wagon so I can get a plan and list started of what I need to do and get.

Burnouts. Lots of burnouts.

Picked up my new gas tank from the radiator shop. Had them swap the filler neck from the old one to the new one. Didn't charge me anything either.

Did you hear that 4.3 run before installing it?
I only jabbed it in to start mocking it up. the engine did run (drove the blazer into the shop) but has a knock somewhere, think it has a spun bearing. trans supposedly has only 10k on a rebuild. I only paid $500 for the thing, and already scavenged the brakes (front & rear) and spindles, going to be using the front seats, computer and wiring, and some metal from the floors for patches. I may even try re-using the roof rack, as mine is pretty well shot. I even got a little money back selling the front clip and reese hitch to a buddy of mine! its starting to look like a turkey after thanksgiving!

the trick'll be getting the other 4.3 out of the astrovan I picked up for $100 from my old neighbor. the thing runs great ($15 fuelpump from rockauto). I plan on using the bottom end from the TBI 4.3, and the heads and intake from the vortec 4.3. I'm not looking for a huge powerhouse for the car, I just want the dependability from the fuel injection, and supposedly that combo is supposed to gain about 20 flywheel hp.

A job got postponed this week so I had some time off to start my suspension, brake, and steering swaps. Have about $3,000.00 in parts stocked. UMI front control arms Moog 5660 springs Blazer spindles hubs and rotors so far. Still to do is new master and booster, prop valve . Then the Pro Forged steering kit.
