lol, i love how nomenclature can be regional. being from minnesota, i called to a dealership in iowa that was selling a ford scan tool. the gentleman told me "it was always crated, racked and shedded".vat
/vat/
noun
A vat. A vat of liquid. I guess they don't really do that anymore for disposal and environmental reasons. Most just bake them. I guess I kind of just use it as a catch-all term.
- 1.
a large tank or tub used to hold liquid, especially in industry.
"a vat of hot tar"
I agree; pressure is good. I used a garden hose nozzle, but sumpin' better than nuttin'.I prefer a pressure washer in all the nooks, crannies and passages. the a wipe down with wd40. But I'm Canadian, so do what you will.
Bah.
I'll admit when I messed up. The tool while it drives the bearings in fine enough, is not so good at lining them up. Bought the "proper" camshaft bearing tool from ebay for $60 and 2 more sets of cam bearings. Oh well. Sometimes DIY works, othertimes not so much.
yep.but why take a chance is there is no need to, sometimes trying to save time and money gets real expensive
