I have not had any trouble with my Spectra Grand National tank either, but I didn't have any trouble with the factory tank either.
If you have a problem with spill back try sicking a large flat screw driver into the 2 slots above the gas nozzle v*g*na and twist to slightly open them up a hair
Dropped fuel tank and installed a FG08B Spectra fuel sender, success, fuel gauge works. Cut out spare tire recess and welded in trunk floor, installed Taylor trunk mount battery kit, and tucked exhaust system up a bit tighter to the body. Yea, took 2 1/2 days.
Worked on installing a "new" instrument cluster. Had to put in the tach wire, got it mostly together and tried it. Temp gauge doesn't work, volt gage is erratic, turn signals and high beams don't indicate on dash.... Little frustrated. Gotta pull it back out and check all the bulbs to make sure they are good. Should've checked them first. Oh well.
Washed and waxed her for the first time in over a year and a half then warmed her up and just listened to the womp womp womp at idle. Music to my ears
Fixed sway bar mounts.Filed the holes larger and tapped them to 7/16's 20 threads and put in allen heads for clearance.Also installed steering gear box.
