Be really aggressive with that notch - with my F-body compressor I had to take it up the frame rail toward the idler arm. What a PITA that was.

I definitely overshot it. Made space for the AC lines as well. Ordered some 1/8" carbon steel to box it back in. At least 2" around the compressor.

You need room for the compressor, lines, connectors, bolts, fingers, wiggling, tools, and swear words.

Made spacers for the a/c compressor so it’s more in line with the other pulleys and fixed my throttle cable next is spacing the alternator.

Been on a lull this week and not much motivation...need a fan in the garage because damn it's humid in there.
Earlier today I managed to get the u joint removed from the slip yoke with the help of my neighbor and his tools. The 80E yoke is in good shape, and plenty strong for me, not to mention saving at least $70 from buying a new one. I went ahead and measured for a driveshaft while at it. The local diesel place builds 90% of the driveshafts around for circle track, drag, big rigs, etc and they quoted me a decent price so I'll be making a visit there hopefully early next week.

Took all the pulleys off the front of the motor and wondered how the hell I ended up with 2 sets both missing only one pulley. Tried to locate a KK pulley found even more oil leaks on my rtved to ugly Edelbrock intake until I can afford new gaskets rtv those places as well to stop possible vacuum leaks.

Suspected my booster of going bad will need to test it.

Got distracted by my 2.5 yr old shop assistant who wanted to “jam out” and dance to AC/DC and despacito. She usually love riding in the car she says vroom vroom racecar and then when driving she wants the window down and is a terrible influence faster daddy is her favorite phrase. It’s also hard to tune a motor when her favorite past time is commanding things so she comes out and wants to have the engine shut off when she says engine off and how could I say no to that. [emoji3]

Dreamed about finally fixing my stereo right so I don’t have to wear a single headphone for music or phone calls and tried to brainstorm how I could make a cup holder so I don’t have the ridiculous on door ones. Anyone ever made one out of the console ashtray? Looking for ideas.

Trying to decide what to do with the exterior because the paint is fubared and I hate all the chrome. I want to take all the chrome trim off but don’t really want to have to fill all those holes but I know someone somewhere would kill to have my trim just not this guy.

If you have a bench, I hear tell that you can bolt one out of a later model Silverado to the frame. It's on my one-of-these-days list.
The console ashtray (assuming you have buckets) could be done, but would require cutting. You could also bend up a bracket that bolts to the hump and comes out between the console and the carpet to mount some on......
