If you have a bench, I hear tell that you can bolt one out of a later model Silverado to the frame. It's on my one-of-these-days list.
The console ashtray (assuming you have buckets) could be done, but would require cutting. You could also bend up a bracket that bolts to the hump and comes out between the console and the carpet to mount some on......
s10 bench seat mounted cups may work also. so the rumor goes.

I have buckets and a console and I’m kinda partial to my current buckets but thanks for the idea maybe I’ll take the console out and see if I can come up with something to make one work.

Today I ordered the correct water pump pulley off eBay since SBO parts seem to be nonexistent in scrap yards or otherwise round here. I’ll say the whole pulley thing is damn confusing if you don’t have an assembly manual luckily I figured out my mistake before I bought one. And then to the sadness of my wallet I found I also had the wrong water pump so ordered a new correct length water pump other than that all I did today was cuss the car and cuss my dads choice to use a SBO rather than the SBC that every one and their brother makes parts for dirt cheap of course I really prefer the SBO but in those moments of frustration you know...[emoji2959]

Once the car is back together and running again I have to test the booster and before then if I have time I’m going to inspect my lines and wheel cylinders because I’m having braking issues though I’m almost positive it’s booster related.

Eventually when the car is running well and more squared away I plan to take the time to relocate the power window switches down by the power locks and mount 6.5 components in the door like I saw here on the forum thanks for that person who’s username I forgot. Followed by hopefully mounting 6x9s in the rear.

I also have to eventually source myself a windshield washer tank because mine is in a million pieces courtesy of the Florida heat. And then maybe one day in the distant future I will have the patience to retrofit my factory cruise control and the factory ac idle stop solenoid.

Side question let’s say I have my dial back timing light set to 0 and my balancer is marked all the way to 40 once I rev the motor for the mechanical advance to engage the number should go up from the initial timing number not down correct?

I was going to do the transmission swap today but I got a late start. I was having a good time and things went smooth so I t6hought I just make it a late nite and get it done. I have one more bolt to remove from the transmission to the bellhousing but the mosquitoes are out in full force so they won the battle and I called it quits for the nite......I know what you guys are going to say
