I decided to replace my broken passenger side interior door handle and got more than I expected. Yes thats correct I found my build sheet.
Man im jealous. I couldn't find my build sheet even after completely dismantling my car. This is all i found.

Where was the build sheet located? I may want to try to find mine when I get the Malibu back from the shop.
I've heard almost anywhere. Behind door panels, above the headliner, stapled to backseats are the most common aleast as far as I've seen.

Got my new seats swapped in... Major improvement not just in looks, but comfort as well. I know buckets are all the rage but I like my bench seat, especially in the Elcamino just in case you need to squeeze in two passengers.

Elcos and wagons are the two that almost require a bench.

Did some late night rewiring, my dumbass wired the left fan backwards.
oops

'sfine now.

Well, after a longer wait time than expected, I picked up my finished door panels earlier! They look killer, but now I get to paint the lowers, arm rests and door pulls black. Quick mockup when I got home......View attachment 147401

Of course you had to one up me, hahaha. But speaking of I did give up on finding the right set screws and just went to the hardware store and broke the bank getting 2 screws for 24 cents. Which allowed me to put the other door panel back at least.

I really like the color of those new seats you got.

So after finishing the door panel up, I moved onto the passenger visor that was bugging me because the mount was loose and wouldn't let the visor be on it and be in the correct spot. I was able to get it back to being tight after taking it off and fighting it back on, but still won't sit in the right position, so I have a feeling they are maybe reversed? While it sat over the weekend I soaked the seat belts in dawn to see if they would clean up, they do look better but not as good as I had hoped. I think if I had known to do it while they weren't in the car it probably would have went better. Had to pull a couple of trim pieces out to be able to pull the DVR camera line futher back out since it disconnected from the camera, wasn't hard to get it back where it needs to be and then can be ran with the mirror power wires to hide inside the cover. Then finished up with the little piece of wood I have holding the center console up in the front needed some more stability, so I glued two other pieces of wood to it for it have a better base. So once that is in I can finish off the center console and put the seats back in for the interior to be done.
