Drive-by birthday for my niece. 🙂

I built a frame around my sub box in the trunk and covered it with the stock carpet. So now I am ready to pump some tunes this summer.

Sound system: 8 speakers (4 in custom console, driven by amp under passenger seat) and 2 10" subs, amp and capacitor in the trunk

Sounds like a ground loop problem. Start by seeing if all the components have a chassis ground. I'm going to guess that one either is or isn't getting a ground to the case of the unit. It's all about potential- if they all touch chassis ground make sure they all have it. Or, start pulling one component at a time until you find the culprit. Is it there with the car running, off, otherwise? What was the last thing you hooked up?
Assuming from your name you’re Scottish? Is that your clan tartan?
Can you unplug the lights
Yes I am, well after a bit of playing around I now see that one of the set of LED's seems to be bad and they are sending me a new set that I have to wire in. I haven't had the chance yet to pull that connection to see if it is the cause of the static. It is like that before the car is started, haven't even got it out to break the cherry yet. So hopefully this weekend I will be able to get it out and get some miles on it.

Well, not mine technically, yet, maybe.

Went and looked at a 79 Malibu Classic coupe at a lot here in town. So-so repaint, seat swap. new (too small) Torq-Thrusts/BFGs. Entire exhaust system is junk, one smallish hole in very rear of left rear frame rail, blistering paint on header panel, one spot on hood, and the part I'd be worried about, dark scale at quarter glass. HORRIBLE stick-on hood scoop, pinstripes done by somebody on acid, wing, and cheesy ghetto w/o moldings. And a BLUE steering wheel in a gray interior.

Overall, my opinion is they're about 2K too high. Surprisingly, they did not have it priced as crazily high as I would have guessed from the rest of their inventory.

Pic or 2 because :worthless:

Seems to be nice and straight, except the rear bumper looks crooked in the photo. The blue steering wheel does look brash in the otherwise clean looking interior, and what looks like a purple accent light in the passenger footwell would have to go. Do you think that the sales lot will negotiate with you on your idea of a fair price?

Finally was able to take the car to muffler shop and finish the exhaust. I had one side hooked up the other needed a bend to match crossmember and meet up you the header.
The video doesn’t do it justice. The car is so quiet till you hit it and sounds so crisp and clean up top.
I am flat out in love with the way the car sounds. Has just the right amount of chop with the Summit LS Pro Stage 3 cam. And the Holley is really doing incredible with how smooth the car drives.
Here’s a quick video when I got home from the muffler shop.
