Finally got the 8.8 mocked up.

Got a ton of clearance between the housing and the fuel pump and the free range of articulation is nuts:

Tim to mock up the springs.

I guess next week you will be posting in what did you buy for your G body to show us your new back tires.........😊
Only a couple of thousand Km's on the tires, might have to use the brake and gas combo. A stock 73 Olds 350 can only do so much, even with better exhaust.

Made the Monte run and drive for the first time in the better part of a decade. No biggie.

Got a lot of little stuff done today. Little cleaning around the engine bay for any loose dirty and leaves and such.
Reinstalled my battery tray. It’s not great, not terrible. Better than it was. Cleaned up the hold down too.

Then I tried out my new tools and used a disc grinder to remove the support piece for the stock radio so that my aftermarket one will sit back farther. I think it looks a lot better this way.

My radiator top plate was cleaned up and is on its first coat of paint right now as well. One step closer to swapping to electric fans. It was a productive day.
Now that is Awesome! I will be doing the same thing to the Malibu's Battery Tray here very soon.

Thankfully its not rusted through but it is very rusty. What did you use to paint your battery tray? I already have a good idea what I am going to use for the rust clean up. 👍

Maybe not "my" G but I brought Donovan back his rear window filler panel and voted on his double super secret upcoming mod, to be officially announced at a later date.

Oh ya, picked up about 20 gallons of E85... Which will be revealed in my thread update later tonight.

Once this amazing BBQ settles

Buffalo wings, BBQ thighs and Sriracha lime drums....

So good........

Believe it or not but i used the “Rust Stop” Black + Primer from Ace Hardware. It’s their own brand spray paint and it works great. I hit it with the Harbor Freight Special wire wheels of my drill and then some brake cleaner and then the paint. Everything comes out alright this way. Not professional by any means but here in AZ we don’t worry about rust much so it’ll do for me for now.
