Painted the underside of the car from the B pillars back for (hopefully) the last time.

In the last photo you can see one of the lightweight spring perches I tacked in place to solving the never seated spring issue.

3.5 hour drive, 2 of which was in the rain so spent the rest of the day trying to clean her up so it wasn't so out of its league

got a late start but I removed the upper door caps and cleaned them up. I used Lapage PL to glue on to the new backing and clamped it. It takes a while for that to cure so I'll leave that over nite and will do the other side tomorrow. It was easy to line up the backinfg and the cap since the lines where the old backing were clear. I was able to remove the padding that GM used so I can reuse that on the uppers....

I finished the left upper door panel and glued the other side which I will finish up tomorrow Once both are done I'll install the sweeps. It turned out to be easier than I anticipated and the rain held out so I cut that 6 miles of grass again today to leave tomorrow open to work on the GP...

I'm not too good on the "today" thing, but I thought I would fess up to what I've done this YEAR since June is almost over.
1) Replaced stereo, added rear speakers with BOSS products- its okay
2) While I had interior half apart I removed and reglued the previously replaced headliner material including new clips from Mikes Montes-its good
3)Replaced body mount bushings with Prothane kit and bolts from Mikes-good
4) Replaced front brakes with C5 12.8"rotors/C6 calipers with KORE3 brackets and brake hoses, Summit UCA's and Proforged +1/2" taller ball joints all on S10 Blazer spindles/hubs-good
5) Added Jeep steering shaft and Monte SS steering box-good
6) Replaced bench seat with Procar Rally smooth back buckets- love the look, fit is taking some adjustment, tight on the booty
7) Added Hedman 68608 headers👍 and Pypes 2 1/2" X-pipe. Cut up and welded the old Monte SS style Y-pipe to fill the gap from the X-pipe to headers- its way different sounding, jury is still out on sound, seems to rev a lot quicker, will check MPG, surely has to be better.
8) New Toyo Extensa HP II tires 225/50-17 front, 255/45-17 rear. Rears are only about 1/8" wider than Cooper 245's but same height as fronts and made in USA🙂 unlike Coopers from China☹. About all I can fit in the rear without wheel well work.
9) Somehow fixed my cruise control erraticness/two to three second constant surge- maybe related to eliminating the EFE valve??? I did nothing to address the surge, but CC seems to be good now. Need to check vacuum hose routings.
Really just started driving her again this week, to and from work three days this week, I sure do feel a lot cooler- Alright, alright, alright🙂
