installed some of the brake lines. ms to valve, passenger front to valve, driver front to valve. Just got the rear two left. And install the new tank. and front clip. and washer pump. and new trans mount...

Today I changed the brakes. Just bought mine, guy before me changed the pads and rotors on the front end but both calipers were blown! And then i replaced the drums as well. A headache as always. Also always remember the wheel bearings behind your rotor. And the seals! Otherwise the car may not properly run😂

Wasn’t planning on doing anything to the 442 today, just going out for a ride. A few minutes away from home I smelled burning oil and looked at the oil gauge and it was at zero! Pulled aside to take a look and thankfully saw that the oil was leaking out of the Bottom and top of oil sending unit, just enough to be messy. I knew I had oil pressure so I drove home and replaced/clean up. That sender probably had less than 2500 miles on it, but it was 10 years old. Another quality part.

My sister threw a halloween party last night. She incorporated my parts car. She had me dress up as a clown(im a natural) I took the chain off my chainsaw ans scared little kids and adults all night. My aunt kim was in the jack n the box dressed as pennywise. I told her to put a mullet on the dead guy in my monte but she put a hoe in his head instead.

I had started both the Cobalt and the Malibu up last night as we are getting a strange and record breaking bitter cold. As of this morning it is -5. Last night however just as it was way below the Teens, right around 5 degrees. I was surprised. Took more than a few turn overs but the Malibu did start and about 20 secs in I did have to give it some gas to keep it from cutting off but it idled thereafter and knocked like crazy. I have always heard people taking trash about Carburetor Cars and how they don't start in many conditions. . . Seems to me now that if you maintenance the vehicle as needed you don't have to worry about fiddling with it too much to get them started. I had the Malibu sitting for 5 weeks while I was in the process of Body work and Paint, thing started up after two turn overs, no Starting Fluid needed. Keeping your Carburetor up to par, lesson learned.20201025_190218[1].jpg

Had quite the weekend, took the daily to meet my step mom for some dinner on Saturday could feel the tire was low so after dinner go across the street to add air. After I put the air in I take the chuck off and it rips the valve stem off so no air will now stay in that tire, I'm like 5 miles from the house so I try to drive it a little to see and could tell it was gonna rip the tire off. So......

Sunday morning get a text from my aunt and stepmom to see if I wanna do brunch so I took the Monte since the DD was down, was idling a little high on the way to brunch. Then twice it stalls out and starts right back up after so I get it there, as I am leaving it stalls again and can get it going. Get to the first light and sit for a little its still idling high then as I get into the intersection it stalls out again. Able to get it to fire since when I try to pop the hood to look it won't open so I say eh I will wait until I get it home, does it another 2 times. But the last time it would start up and stall right away, last time I heard a backfire so I called it quits and waited over 2 hours for a second tow. Lesson learned no more plans to go eat with the stepmom
