What Did You Do To Your G-Body Today? [2020]

Was not today but yesterday. I got mine out of storage and took it home. Took a picture of the two boosted six cylinders together for the first time. View attachment 140812 I guess I got all the cars we drive in that picture. I forgotten how awesome my Monte runs! On my way home a motorcycle came up along side me when I was going 65. I let him have a jump and then floored it! We raced for a couple miles. Neither one of us could pull away. We were dead even. That I am sure surprised that crochrocket. I also warmed up the tires a few times on the way home. So much fun!

those vehicles don't look like they are 6' apart from each other.... 🤔

Yea, and the front one is breathing in the other's face.
That is how it always will be. The red car is sh*t compared to the black car! No worries they have all been infected by me and my bad habits. All of them are doomed!

275/40r17 on 8 inch rims on the back. 245/45r17 on 7 inch rims in the front. Wish I went with a 9 or 9.5 rim in the back.

got a little bit of a late start to it, but I got the driver's side header in. Had to chop some of the motor mount off for it to fit. The header just kisses the driver lower control arm mount might take it back out and smack it. It went in about as well as headers do, have to have the car at least a foot and a half in the air to get the header in. the bolts are barely long enough to do the job. why.

passenger will be done later tomorrow (today), although it's supposed to rain the rest of the week. yay.

I like the fitment overall, however. despite being long tubes (only style available), they sit up reasonably high. I dig em.

I finally installed the driver side door jamb switch. The wiring fought me awhile back so I pushed it to the side of my brain.
Anyways, backed the car out, got switch and led dome light installed, lens cover on and done. Pretty dang bright, especially in the dark and with the map lights on!!!View attachment 140714View attachment 140715View attachment 140716
Great minds think alike, finally started to properly use some of the quarantine time since the gym is closed. I first clearanced the speaker mounts so hopefully the lower panel fits well to the top. I personally don't see much difference now but am hoping that it worked. Then I spent way more time thinking about this plan than I should have before I finally have it pretty much wired up and just awaiting the mocking up to lengthen a couple of the runs.

First I cut the stupid chrome tailpipe extensions off the beater Monte SS and because the dry rotted front tires can't hold air for more than a day I installed my old rims and tires off the Regal.

Almost finished swapping the dash and steering column just trying to tie up some loose ends. A little help would be appreciated on figuring out where to plug these guys in

3rd to last one, with the split male end is for the cruise control on the turn signal stalk.

Cruised marketplace.

Does it count as your g body if you don't own or have the space or time for it but want it?
