what class is the car in, it is much more sophisticated than any of the street stock cars we built. We were never permitted to move the engine back and we had to keep the stock firewall and steel fenders...and that engine looks more like a built motor for a sportsman or a pro late model..... 🤔
Steve, these metric cars are street stock class. Evidently the rules have changed quite a bit. They obviously still have their limits, but pretty cool to watch!
The neighbor finished up doing the front clip on an outlaw figure 8 car. They run some wild stuff on those things!

Need more info, was it just a quick second with it dying at the same time as you released the key? If so, you need "key in on position" power, otherwise could be carb issue.
No it will run about a minute and wants to die I can rev it some but if I rev too hard it sputters out.

Here is another one. I just helped move this one in...he is gonna put a body on this one. He builds everything from scratch, and uses mainly just a folding rule, marker, and 51 years of racecar fab skills. It's amazing watching him work, and I've been trying soak up as much knowledge as possible.

I'm currently working on changing the studs in the rear. Painting the drums while I have them off. Doesn't seem hard but I know they are tricky getting back in. I've seen it done a time or two, just never took the time to do it myself. I also decided to add a touch up coat to the crossmember. Figured I'd clean around the wheel well while I'm there. Little surface rust nothing major.
