I went to Auto Zone and bought the filter that goes into the carb chamber. Gonna replace it and try again. Autozone didn't have it, so I went to Advance Auto. Funny thing is at Autozone the clerk looked up an 88 Chevy Cutlass😂. Even though it's not a Chevy and although I was entertained. They still had to order the part. So I went to Advance Auto. There was a mature lady behind the counter. I told her what I wanted. She asked one question, "The short filter, or the long one?" She got the part I needed and I was on my way.So it is obviously getting spark, must be a fuel or vacuum issue.
Gotcha I think I was advised to do that once before but had already added the new fuel line and didn't want to cut it. I bent it perfectly. Now I wish I had went ahead and added the second filter between the carb and filter. (I had previously removed the inlet filter. It was clean but the end cap had broke off.) I'm going to remove to fuel pump next, and check it. Thanks fleming442!Don't mess with the inlet filter. Yank that sumbich and get a universal, 3/8", metal can filter between the pump and carb.
They that restrictive? I like the anti drainback convenience.Don't mess with the inlet filter. Yank that sumbich and get a universal, 3/8", metal can filter between the pump and carb.
Depends on the power level, but I doubt the Super Stock guys run them. They that restrictive? I like the anti drainback convenience.
