Finished off a few details, got the old hood pull removed and ran 2 of the wires I had to pull out of the hole that I was using in there. When I raised the car to be able to reach into the fender well the rear of the car didn't go up, so imagine I will be jumping down the rabbit hole soon. Finished off the interior wiring and had the lower head unit ready to go in, just to find out that the right cage didn't come with the headunit so have to look at sourcing something for it to mount to.

Did some minor car stuff, electrical mainly, before it snowed yesterday.

A few weeks ago I installed a basic oil catch can from amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B081N392BN/?tag=gbody-20)

Installed on an 86 El Camino with a 305. I don't drive the car too often since I'm at school but the can actually collected a little bit of oil! Glad it works!

I've had problems with a fouled up intake in the past so hopefully those days are done!

Got the Holley carb spacer in yesterday, did a quick test fit of the repop air cleaner base to find the front needed trimmed for the taps on the carb openning. Bust out the dremel & made the trimming needed. Fits perfect, clears the secondaries vacuum pot, sits about an inch lower than the old GMPP 10" I originally used on the 305. Here's the pics for TURNA to see how it fits. I left the plastic on the lid & filter cause I'm just being lazy.

Spent some time welding up the "extra" holes on the 73 only valve covers so they fit the 403 heads properly.

Have to go get some more sanding cones to get into the center bolt hole and smoooooooooth it out
