Had some time to diagnose the misfire on my Regal. I knew cylinder 6 was the culprit from my IR thermometer. So I tested the plug wire for resistance and there was my answer wires are 500 ohms per foot. I had nearly triple the resistance given my length, I made up a new wire and the car runs great again. I'll pop by the registry office tomorrow and renew the tags. Road test as soon as this snow melts.

got a chance between my house chores and was able to back her out the garage ... only to find out i have a power steering leak to fix now.

1320john$$$, Y'all about to make me cry here. 400 small blocks? As in Chev or Pontiac? My neighbour had a garage full of Pontiac 400's Raced them and built them. Come to find out he also had an orphan 400 Chevy block that had been intended to go in his late model. Never happened cause about that time he quit racing Too Much $$$$. So it sat and got dusty until he was forced to give up his house to go into an assisted living facility and it got laid on me Don't know what happened to the Poncho parts. I had no room at the time, so his kid got it all and probably sold most of it for scrap. Have never seen any of those parts at a swap meet locally, so who knows? The Chev 400 turned out to be a 4 bolt, never bored, and now resides on my engine stand under a blanket of plastic bags to keep it clean and rust free. I spray it down with Deep Creep or Fluid Film periodically to keep it preserved from the creeping rusties. Would like to build it but as always, Either no time or no budget. Oh well.

I been having issues with my AC this week... it stopped working all of a sudden. I came on here to see a starting point. I checked all the potential issues like AC fuse, pressure switch, the 2 wires to compressor and Freon. Finally this morning I purchased a bolt meter and decided to check all fuses and found the ECM 10 fuse blown out. Replaced with a new one that came with the car in the glove box and voila AC is back up and running. Again thanks to this forum.

Every one?? Being curious because I happen to have my 262 V-8 from my first and last new car tucked away under the south wall shelving.
Killed the car it came in, stuffed it into my 78 Monte, drove that into the ground, retrieved it to use in the Monte from a kid who thought he could use the Monza shell to build a street fighter and didn't want the stock motor and, once the Monte had been hauled off for scrap, carefully put it away. For those of the board who are thinking "shouldn't that be a V-6? Nope, sorry, not even close. It was a factory build that took me almost half a year or more to receive. I made matters worse for the dealer because I wanted a Four speed included in it and all they offered were Saginaws. And insult to injury was that th clutch was cable!! driven; some kind of mickey mouse lashup that more properly belonged in a 4 banger Vega. Could have had a 350 but they would not build the 350 with a four speed; pricks from the insurance companies playing havoc with what drivers could and couldn't have in the name of reduced rates and "safety".

All that aside, nice collection; when are you going to fill the centre aisle and make all impossible to get into??

Thanks to this coronavirus I have a 32 x 30 pole barn that has not yet received a concrete floor once they Pour The concrete I plan on putting wheels on the shed and driving it

Listed them on FM. Yeah, that lasted about 4 hours before i couldn't take the incredible stupidity of "buyers"

Time to suck it up and figure something out, not getting any younger and motivation is at an all time low. Tired of owning projects...used to be fun, now it's just a burden. Still love them, just want one that is ready to go.
