What Did You Do To Your G-Body Today? [2021]

Drove the piss out of it this morning after bleeding the brakes three times!!!! Had the same issue last time I bled them. Started at 0745 this morning, starting with right rear I cycled each corner 3 or so times to ensure no air.
I made a homemade one man bleeder with a Gatorade bottle and a piece of clear tubing, worked like a charm!
Brakes feel better than before, still have a slight vibration at highway speeds which i suspect is the driveshaft. When I had it made there was a communication failure, ended up an inch shorter than planned. A local guy has a longer 80E slip yoke, so that's the next plan of attack since it's cheaper and easier to swap the yoke. Hopefully that will kill the vibration.

Today i got the intake on the lm7, pulled the gas tank for the fuel pump/sending unit and removed the old rusty passenger side door to put tje clean ones on. Also managed to get the driveshaft in place and finish up the case mounted lokar shifter install (psa: get a cable shifter) 😅

Scott, drive shaft needs to be the right length. It’s a bummer if a miscommunication caused an issue, but I’d strongly recommend biting the bullet and retuning it to the correct length.

Jim, are you saying start fresh with a new driveshaft? I do have a 4" aluminum unit downstairs that would just need to be shortened and have a conversion U joint added to the pinion side.
The longer slip yoke seems like a fine solution, but I'm no expert in that department.

You can try the longer slip yoke. It might work out fine.
I don’t want to spend your money lol.

Moog 5660. Sitting a little high.(hope they settle some, putting in tall lower ball joints next year)

Still not level side to side, but closer. Haven't driven it yet hope it's an improvement.

Left to right, stock V6 spring, Moog 5660, CDB code spring

took her for a nice drive yesterday down to my buddies in Clover , Took the back roads, Haven't really had a chance to drive it hard through the corners since I got it running, replaced the shocks and added the tires and wheels and the rear sway bar, Pontiac got the spring rate perfect on this car and the cheap *ss shocks made a world of difference, Handles like its on rails and do easy to drive. It loves corners.

I believe I found where my problem is with the Monte, didn't have a chance to try it yet though. Hope to get it done some time this week so she is ready for show this weekend

Gotta put some ends on the wires & use a better stud & nut junction. A little diabolical grease on it for protection. Even shrink tube the crimps.
