Installed the new front fillers. Doesn't help fenders are bent (previous owner said it was hit by a plow on the DS front), and from me jumping it and daily driving it aggressively for 10 years.
Fit is as expected, meh. Better than holes.

Also found my cool air cleaner sticker. Stuck it to my home made dual snorkel.

Removed the KENWOOD single DIN stereo that came with the car when i bought it, had a microphone and SiriusXM tuner device hooked up to it as well.

It worked off and on, a "check wiring" message scrolled across the screen for some odd reason, came to find out this @#$! was putting a 210ma parasitic drain on my 8month old 985ca/800cca battery, all is well with 0ma draw now.

I wasnt using it at all while driving anyway, i prefer to listen to the sweet sound of my engine and exhaust, so i figure a dual gauge setup after fitting a block off plate in that area might be in order here, a vacuum gauge(auto meter) and wideband AFR gauge(AEM) set.

Made the spacer plate yesterday, fitted the hydroboost unit today.

And the listed hoses for a 85 Regal actually fit the unit!

All I need to do now is swap the pump out, and route the return hose for the unit and it’s finally done.
Then I get to wait another month before I can attempt to start this thing to find out if I’ve got leaks

I pulled the gas tank out of the '80 and found a rusty mess inside. It seems after 30 years stagnant Sunoco Ultra 94 doesn't age well. I could have cleaned out and reused the tank but I already have another replacement and sender already on the shelf in my basement. Going to replace the 3/8" fuel line front to back while I'm at it, there was fuel still in the lines and I'm not going to take a chance on a fouled fuel line.

Also installed the rear quarter extensions and NOS '78 tail lamps I picked up last year off of eBay. I like them just fine but would prefer what came on the car. Still looking for them and if they ever turn up I may buy them. But for now, these are so much better than my worn originals.

Nothing like the stench of rotten gasoline to invigorate the sinuses!

Nick
Thankfully I didn't spill a drop on my clothes, but boy that stench lingers! I had all the doors open in the garage all afternoon and it finally cleared out when I closed them up an hour ago.
