Found out the hard way that I managed to bake another ready to run distributor module.
Replaced the driver’s window motor on Saturday, and accidentally grounded out the switch, blew the gauge fuse. Wonder if that sent a surge through the tach to the distributor and cooked it, or if leaving the key on by accident did it.
Either way, ran fine on Friday, tried to start it Sunday, wanted to fight me all the way. Finally got it started and it shook like a paint shaker running 10 to 1 on the AFR while belching out a smokescreen like I was trying to be James Bond. Wish I had a camera when I left off the gas to try to get it to idle, got a 2 foot flame out of both tailpipe’s because of the fuel….
