What did you do to your G-Body today 2024

I finally installed my MeterMatch, ending my months-long attempt at matching my stock oil gauge to any sender. I set the top & bottom limits to match my mechanical gauge, and just like that, I have an accurate stock gauge. I installed the relay & circuit to let MeterMatch use my CEL as an oil warning light. Then it got gross hot, so next chance I get I'll connect that & set it up.

Sounds like one more shim is needed,
The BBC 454 in my 97 C3500HD has said starter, good units, it's not shimmed either 🤦🏻‍♂️🤣
Just added another 1/32 shim on top of the 1/16 I had on there, and it cranks much smoother but the grinding is still there once the engine fires off at all. I think the bendix isn’t retracting until the starter stops receiving power.

Tough call between a new bendix to satisfy my urge to fix it and the Jegs starter. It’s only a $30 difference 🫠

I did an oil change on the Monte and then cleaned it up and went for a quick drive and filled up with race fuel
This was also the first time driving with the new Autometer GPS speedo that worked very well.

I like my AutoMeter GPS speedo. What series do you have? Mine is the SportComp 2.
Mine is the Ultralite and I painted the bezel black.to match my other Ultralites
