What did you do to your G-Body today 2024

Not sure that that tarp is going to do the job if you are in the path of Hurry-cain Milton. The weatherheads are having a field day predicting how much rain and water the west coast of Florida will get. Up here the bets are running in the 6 foot of water area with houses being submerged and debris still sitting at the curb from the last hurricane becoming flotsam capable of destroying houses.

If it were possible I'd say move your rides up into the attic and chain them down to anchors buried in the basement.

We are on the south side of it. We’re pretty close to the water, surrounded by gulf access canals at that. This area hasn’t gotten much flooding before.
It’s been very windy but little rain so far.

Just watched the weather review and it looks like Milton came ashore near Tampa and then took the interstate East to Daytona. Glad to see and hear that you missed the main event although I expect that there was a lot of rain. At one point the weatherhead was standing in what used to be a road and right behind him was a palm tree that had been taken out by the winds. The associated comment about that was that it apparently took substantially high winds to uproot palm trees as they are deeply rooted by nature to avoid being damaged by storms.

Still I expect that a lot of folks weren't so lucky; there have been reports of deaths. If we have any other members of this board and its forums living in Florida, I hope they too survived. Losing a favored toy can be painful but losing a life just plain hurts. Stay Safe Y'all.

Got some white walls in place of the bald *ss coopers.
First time probably since 2018 or so it's had 14s. 205/75r14, 26.1 inches tall, same height as 235/60r15s. Last Pic is the day I got it, second to last pic is around the same time.

Eh, the steel belts weren't showing so they still had another 500 miles left in 'em, easy. Ride looks good. Mine had whitewalls when I got it too.

Probably. But two of em had plugs, one of them on the outer tread block where it just starts to curve over, and even on hot dry pavement they'd peel out a bit.

Also, the Hankook Optimos (rear) are a few years discontinued, and the hankook kinergy (front) are identical.

Long story longer, I had two hankook optimo white wall tires mounted on my steels some years ago, and the idiots (Firestone Tire stores) mounted them black wall out, and didn't remove the old weights when balancing, despite the lady placing a note to do so. Fast forward to now, I ordered two new white wall hankooks and got two more rims from the junkyard. Shops would of course mount them, but I wanted long stems for the use of hubcaps, and every store (save for the last one) said they didn't carry them anymore. A Goodyear affiliated tire store took the new set and mounted them, for 84 ****ing dollars. As for the other two I just wanted flipped around whiteout and rebalanced? No shop would touch em. Went to Firestone first, as i work at the Agricultural Tire Plant i get a discpunt on tires and labor. They came at me with "It's against policy to mount used tires". They aren't junk, they've got less than 100 miles in em. But oh, the set they sold me for my k1500 they had no problem banging those off when I got a nail because of the warranty. Were they not  used as well?

Tried the other store down the road (which in hindsight i should've tried first and had them do all 4) and finally got the two flipped around. Took em out to my truck, only one was flipped. They didnt bother cleaning the dirt off the white stripe to tell it was a white wall, so had the guy roll it back, dismount, flip, and balance that
one AGAIN. That place was $50 on the dot.

Why is sh*t so complicated nowadays.
Flip these two, mount these two with new long stems. Jesus tap dancing Christ.
