Why are the frames so crappy in them yesterday I looked at one for a friend and the hitch and bumper were falling off

You have to undercoat them from day one if you do any winter driving. The frame on the TBSS looks like new under the grime, and Natasha's Colorado is the same.

Put a K&N filter in the new truck. Still learning how to use the new toys it came with. Next is to time out when to get the new General Grabbers to replace the OE Goodyears (5/32 avg on them.)

Finished putting together the valve cover for the inline 6...

First scrubbed what dirtyness there was on it clean (80-something k mile truck)

Then needed to get the grommets for the pcv and breather for an AMC because the chevy ones were "unavailable" without a special order. Oil cap took 4 parts stores to get one that sealed tight without rocking.

Got the cork gasket with some black rtv setting on the valve cover, about to go on the head...

Headed out to pick up tins today plus order about $700 worth of parts for this bike. All painted in Estoril Blue II that matches my neighbors BMW sedan.
