Log splitter mods!! Finished the 2 stage pump it's faster but no stronger put a trailer ball on the little John Deere and added a stacker! Well Lauren and Janet anyway lol
I checked the trouble cosed for my Jeep and tried to order a Map Sensor, it's a 2004 Grand Cherokee with a 4.0 and no one had it in stock. Napa warehouse had nothing and nothing in any of it's stores, I got one place to order it and if their warehouse has it in stock it'll be here tomorrow...I thought these engine were pretty common so parts would be available....🤔
I thought the dealer would be expensive but I just called to see if they had it in stock, they don't but can get me one for tomorrow am and it is cheaper than the parts store I odered from....so I cancelled the parts store order and ordered it from the dealer...strange how the dealer part is cheaper and probably better...🙂
Tried my hand at compound/polishing a vehicle, my daily driver. Took me wayyyy longer than i was expecting. But it seems to have made a decent difference. It started raining as soon as i pulled it out of the garage and is supposed to rain 5 of the next 7 days. Oh well, hopefully it will make maintaining it this winter easier and once i clean it again after all the rain it will look half way decent.
Gave the Dodge pickup an oil change and new fuel filters in preparation for it's annual diesel emissions test. Decided to take a victory lap around the block which turned into the agony of defeat. I haven't driven the truck in 3 weeks, and it wouldn't shift out of 1st gear. I nicely (hey it's my story) asked the wife how long the freakin trans has been acting up, this did not go over too well. Then I ordered a new pressure transducer and GM governor solenoid. Dropped the pan today and discovered to my dismay I guessed wrong and the band strut and band apply lever (in two pieces) laying in the pan. Now I get to pull the whole shebang because the plug to remove the pin the lever rides on is behind the torque converter. 35 bucks for a new billet one, If I had known these break I would have replaced it when I built the trans. **** you 48RE, **** you.........
I picked up the MAP sensor at the dealer and I put my winter tires on the Jeep...I hope the weather clears up next week so I can park the Jeep and do some work on it, I do not want to drive the POS until the snow arrives.
