What did you do to your non-G body project today? [2019]

I ordered an oil slinger on Ebay for the 4.0 Jeep and it finally came today. It fits against the crank timing gear and there is a recess in the timing cover for it. The crankshaft damper holds it against the gear. I measured it and came up with .038". Am I to believe that when they deleted the slinger they changed the part number of the damper for .9652mm or 2.5/64" positioning of the serpentine pulley? I will use the slinger and if I get serpentine belt problems I can always remove .038" off the damper snout.

Finally chopped a hole in my bench and screwed down the cookie sheet. Hit the wood with some RTV to hopefully protect it from the inevitable drip of ATF and have some heavy objects holding the sheet to the bench. Not sure if I used enough RTV to bond the 2 or not.

Next challenge is hanging this to catch those drips. The wife suggested rails and I concur. Now to dream them up.

What if you used a drip pan off of an old grill?

Or if you want to get creative, use a shower basin drain then run a rubber hose down to a bucket or jug?

Funnel into a 5 gallon paint pail

That's even easier! Attach the funnel to the under side of the cookie sheet, attach the hose!

I like your thinking!
