Clutch i could probably be convinced into another cub cadet
I'm only about an hour south of you if you want to check it out I've got 2 sets of back tires for it it has the wrong front tires and rims on it so it's nose diving that's why I stopped cutting the lawn with it it runs great when the battery isn't dead I also have an extra engine for it that runs off of a gravely walk behind tractor. We're both from Jersey, .. make me an offer I can't refuse. Lol

Your Sears looks similar to a 64 Wheel Horse I got for free, the 8 HP Kohler had given up the ghost. Similar trans, the clutch mechanism was just a tensioner on a belt. It got a 13 HP Diesel Yanmar swap with a proper stack exhaust. The engine came from a European spec genset out of a display conex the company built and sent over to put in a booth at Conexpo several years ago. They didn't want the epense of shipping it back to Sweden, and no one wanted a "mobile workshop" that didn't have standard US spec power. Sold it to a guy that had to have it.

This was a good week for work on the truck. Got both doors hung earlier in the week. Today I replaced 1 cab corner and patched the inner rocker. Should grab an outer skin tomorrow as mine it way too far gone to even bother patching. I even killed 2x spot weld cutters in the process so come the end I was using a step drill to cut them out LOL.

When I bought the truck the key only opens the driver door and ignition. So I dropped the passenger lock and ignition key to the local locksmith and told him to re-key the lock to match. I even held up my key and explained this key opens the drivers door and ignition but not the passenger door. I would like it to work on the passenger door as well Here is the key, here is my spare door latch and lock. I will be back on Friday to see what you can figure out.
So as planned I went by the locksmith today. He said the lock works fine and even he cut me a new key as he said mine was pretty worn out. $20 lighter I headed off. I got 90% of the way re-installing it when it dawned on me to try my old key. Damn if it didn't work, and actually the new key one looks nothing like the old one........ turns out he cut a key to match the lock instead of adjusting the tumblers to match my key. SMH he was so proud of himself too !!

I think I should patent my forklift door removal tool

Nice how's that truck treating you?

If I did it all over again I would have waited for something on a 7.3 chassis. The box and crane are great, they hold all my stuff, and make me some good side money. However the V10 idle has the haunting "nickle, nickle, nickle" sound to me LOL . Thus far I am averaging 6-8 mpg on a good week with 50% bucket time.
The other 2 trucks are 7.3 ( 2003 is the last year before emissions ). The OG Bucket is the workhorse for almost 10 years now. Bought as an inop cab and chassis for $600. It's got 4x4 for field work and near twice the weight of mine with a winch to yank it back out when the fields get too wet. That heap gets 14 mpg running all day every day ( literally in winter he starts it 20 mins before he leaves home in the AM and shuts it down when he gets home again. Says it is to keep hydraulics warm and batteries topped off ). The Tow rig ( 4x4 dually, 4 door, 8 ft box, and OG bucket anchor when OG gets stuck ) gets between 16-20 mpg dragging around an 8000 lb trailer with a crane on it too. Both trucks get near zero maintenance, leak a bunch of oil, make cool turbo blow off sounds, and get a little cranky when cold if you forget to plug them in. But they damn work. Soooo I am on the lookout for a 7.3 cab and chassis

Went and got my wife's damaged wheel (needs to be repainted due to peeling clearcoat) from the shed. Dragged the kids out, dug the shed out, dragged the wheel back, and retrieved the tired little one like a sack of potatoes.

It looked like this:
