Stage 2 of previous post-Moving my almost 80 year old 3700 lb monarch lathe. For those that don't know, monarch lathe are basically the heaviest duty over built quality lathes made. I bought it a month after I graduated college because they rarely come up for sale since nobody wants to get rid of them. I have been keeping it at a friends place but he is moving and I have a better place to store it than when I bought it so its time to move it.

Rented a drop deck for the weekend

Loaded along with my friends late 30's drill press and his 70's miller tig.

And she is in my shop after an 80 mile drive! The pallet jack did work!

Pushed my friends other garage stuff off the trailer onto the side wall. His monster TIG and drill press barely fit between the shelf and my lathe.

I'm damn near a warehouse these days haha.

More Cop Vic stuff:

FINALLY got the rods back in the rear doors so the passengers don't feel like convicts not being able to get out on their own. Also did some testing on the HVAC controller. No matter where I set the dial for the air to come out, floor, vent, defrost, mix... I only get air out of the dash vents. I narrowed it down to a vacuum problem on that dial part of the controller.

Without getting into too much detail, my Dad has dementia and we had to take away his driver's license about 6 weeks ago. He still thinks he can drive even though we took the keys to his beater Ford 150 truck. He actually broke into it and used a slide hammer to bust out the ignition tumbler thinking he was going to get it running like a thief would. Instead he butchered the column and it's stuck in park and cannot be moved. The whole debacle actually helped make up our (my brother and mine) minds on what to do with the truck. We began parting it out so we can get rid of it.

I actually took the HVAC controller from it thinking I can use the vent selector switch and vacuum pod on my Vic unit. The fan switch and temp rheostat are different.

And today I painted Jr's bedroom after prepping it all day yesterday.

Played Pac-Man on it because WINTER SUCKS!!

I love your wood floors. My grandfather's farmhouse in Vermont was already almost 200 years old when I used to spend the summers up there. The floorboards were up to 18 winches wide, and the knots were raised up from 200 years of feet wearing downt he softer wood between them.

Wherehouse? Or where-garage? There's a serious sort-and-dispose operation coming this spring in my garage. I can't work on the cars if I can't get to them....
