Super busy with this house building stuff. Feel like I got run down by a bus today and have to have the trusses up this weekend so it's just the beginning of the brutality. A few pics for your viewing pleasure.

I replaced all four rear trailing arms on the Cop Vic. The bushings in the uppers on both sides were completely gone. No more banging metal on metal going on.

As far as I can tell, that's the last of the "repairs" that I have on my list. Going forward, we're just going to drive the thing and see how it goes.

We've put over 600 miles on it in the last two weeks. I've been driving it daily as my own, but Jr. and I take long drives in is as part of his driver's training. I also drive it up to the school to pick him up from sports practice and then he drives us home.

Cars and trucks under a certain age still get tested. Odd yeared vehicles get tested in odd calendar years. Evens get tested in even years. It's been so long since I've had to get a personal vehicle tested that I honestly don't know the year cut-off. I think it's 20 years. I DO know it's 25 years to be eligible for Historical license plates.

The Cop Vic is a 2010 and even though this is 2019, I had to get it tested because it's "new" to me.

At least they don't charge for the testing anymore.

Two years newer than my P71.

Here in NJ, any car newer than 96 must be inspected every 2 years. However, a brand new car does not need to be inspected for 7 years, after that it must be inspected every 2 years. Only emission inspections, no safety.

Impressive on the inspection requirements for a state that hates the automobile. I figured they would of been more harsher than that.

It is weird when your Winter beater is your most powerful ride... but not your coolest.

Pulled the header panel and rad support from the Bonneville.

Getting it ready to pull the engine/trans.

They don't want to bother keeping pre OBD2 testing equipmrnt as most pre OBD2 cars here have been consumed by the increasing overuse of road salt. So instead of outlawing old cars, they prefer to dissolve them away. So yeah they hate cars, salting highways solid white in 60 degree weather, which is not a joke. Warmer weather makes salt more reactive.

The 7 year thing they copied from CA. It is a incentive to encourage people to buy new cars to avoid the hassle of bi-yearly inspections to increase GDP.
